The Archives Antonio Meneghetti

The Archives “Opera Omnia Antonio Meneghetti” were established on 13 November 2018. They are kept in Lugano, at the Antonio Meneghetti Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation.

The Archives propose to protect and enhance Antonio Meneghetti’s work. They take care of archiving the artistic and literary works of historical material, publications relating to exhibitions and events, books, press reviews, photographic material and epistolaries.
The archives consist of two repertoires:

  • repertoire of artistic works, divided into: painting section, sculpture section, glass section, ceramics section, jewelry section, design-fashion section;
  • repertoire of literary works, divided into: manuscripts and collections of deeds and documents section, audio and video sections.

The Foundation provides for the conservation of the aforementioned material, keeping it also available for study purposes.
The Archives also acknowledge the artistic works already catalogued in the three-volume collection entitled “Antonio Meneghetti opere 1965-2012”, printed in November 2012.

Request for archiving/authenticating of Antonio Meneghetti’s visual art works

To initiate the request for an authentication and archiving pronouncement, it is necessary to send by regular mail the following communication to the Antonio Meneghetti Archives (address: Via San Gottardo 10, 6900 Lugano – Svizzera):

  • module (see attachment) compiled with all known data and signed by the owner or by the applicant.
  • n° 3 color photographic prints of the front of the work in 18×24 cm format.
  • n° 1 color photographic print of the back of the work (18×24 cm format)
  • high resolution digital image (minimum 300 DPI in jpeg format in a pen drive)
  • receipt of bank transfer to be made in favor of:

    IBAN: CH60 0900 0000 9119 40686
    BIC/SWIFT: POFICHBEXXX
    indicating name and surname of the applicant in the reason for payment
  • tax data of the holder of the receipt.
  • copy of the signed module and an image of the front of the work and one of the back, in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi, jpeg format), should be sent also to info@artrelation.it

Fee for the work’s authenticity pronouncement

  1. Paintings of dimensions equal to or bigger than 100×100 cm or equivalent formats (e. g. 80×120 cm): 400 €
  2. Paintings smaller than 100×100 cm or equivalent (80×120): 250 €
  3. Drawings and similar techniques: 150 €
  4. Sculptures: 250 €

The Antonio Meneghetti Archives, once examined the documentation received, should said documentation prove insufficient to allow for an authentication and archiving pronouncement, reserve the right to request a direct view of the work. In such case the Archives will contact the collector for an appointment.
The work considered to be in possession of the necessary requirements will be included in the Archives and, in relation to this, a declaration of authenticity will be issued.
The authenticated work will be included in the Antonio Meneghetti Archives, which also reserve the right to publish the work itself.
The fees for the work’s authentication pronouncement are due even if the work will be lacking the necessary requirements for archiving and authentication and will therefore not be returned under any circumstances.
